The Meaning of the Word
Baptism is a transliteration of the Greek word baptizo meaning "to dip" or "to immerse". A translation rather than a transliteration of the word clarifies our Savior's commandment, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, immersing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost ..." Mat 28:19.
New Testament Instances
Baptism as described in the gospel and in the acts of the apostles is clearly immersion. We read that John baptized "in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there ..." John 3:23. He baptized in Aenon because it had water of sufficient depth to immerse a repentant sinner. Per Matthew's gospel, "Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Yahudaea, and all the region round about Jordan, and were baptized by him in the Jordan, confession their sins" (Mat: 3:5 - 6). Those who repented were immersed in water - put down into it -
Our Savior, "Yahshua', when He was baptized, went up straightway out of the water, He had to come up out of it -
Witness of History
Most church historians and scholars agree that immersion was practiced by th eearly church. "Finally, so far as it respects the mode and manner of outward baptizing, there can be no doubt that immersion, and not sprinkling, was the original from" (Phillip Schaff, History of the Christian Church, Page 488).
Luther, Calvin, and most of the great Reformation leaders also admit that the early church originally practiced immersion.
In the ruins of the earliest church buildings archeologists have found good sized baptistries designed for the immersion of converts. Also, many locations along the Jordan River were of sufficient depth and otherwise suitable for baptism (immersion).
Summary
According To The Scriptures, Are Infants To Be Baptized In The Name Of Yahshua For The Remission Of Sin
So As To Receive The Holy Ghosts?
The three thousand preached to by Peter and baptized Pentecost day in Jerusalem (Acts 2:38, 41) were old enough to repent and gladly receive the word of Elohim.
Those preached to by Philip and baptized in Samaria (Acts 8:12, 14 - 17) were men and women who received the word of Elohim and believed it. Then Peter and John prayed for them and laid hands on them, and the Holy Ghost fell on them.
The Ethiopian eunuch preached to by Philip (Acts 8:30 - 31, 35 - 39) was told by the only prerequisite for baptism was to believe "with all thine heart" the rightly divided word of Elohim.
In Caesarea Cornelius and all his house were old enough to fear Elohim (Acts 10: 1-6, 24 - 48). And while Peter yet preached to them (and Cornelius' kinsmen and near friends), the Holy Ghost fell on the them which heard the word, and they spoke with tongues and magnified Elohim. Then Peter commanded all those hearing, speaking people which had received the Holy Ghost to be baptized in the name.
The Philippian jailor, trembling, asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" (Acts 16:29 - 34). Then Paul and Silas preached the word unto him and his house, and they were all baptized straightway - he and all his house were old enough to believe in Elohim (verse 34).
Those Corinthians preached to by Paul and baptized (Acts 18:8), first heard and believed.
Certain disciples in Ephesus who had been baptized unto John's baptism for repentance (Acts 19:1-6) heard and believed the word preached by Paul, and were baptized for the remission of sins in the name of Yahoshua. Then Paul laid hands on them and they received the Holy Ghost and spoke with tongues and prophesied.
The acts of the apostles upheld the word of Yahoshua (Mark 16:15 - 18) that whoever believes the word preached and is baptized shall be saved.
Finally, note Peter's succinct analogy: Noah and his household believed the word of Yahweh by entering into the ark, wherein they "were saved by water. The like figure whereunto even baptism doth now save us" (Genesis 7:1, 7 & 1 Peter 3:20 - 21). Each member of Noah's household had to make the decision to believe in Yahweh.
SO, IN ANSWER TO THE ABOVE QUESTION, ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES, ONLY THOSE OLD ENOUGH TO REPENT, HEAR, SPEAK, WALK - TO BELIEVE - ARE TO BE BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF YAHOSHUA FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS SO AS TO RECEIVE THE HOLY GHOST. Author unknown
Dear loving Friends in Yahshua the Messiah,
"Baptism" means immerse or dip in the water. "RENTIDZO" means Sprinkling. The people who took baptism in the sacred Scriptures had been immersed in the water. They did not sprinkle when they were babies. Baptism is for the repented people and not for the sinless babies. There is no proof for sprinkling baptism in Scriptures. Sprinkling baptism is a manmade doctrine (Mat 15:9). It has no right to enter into the kingdom of Yahweh. Rebelling against immersion is rejecting the counsel of Yahweh (Luke 7:30). Shall we go and see very clearly what the scripture sayith about baptism?

* Truth perverting preachers! Please show us at least two references about sprinkling. You cannot. Do not rebel against YAHWEH and His precious Scriptures. Please read all those references in the "Holy Name Bible".
And in which name? Matthew 28:19 or Acts 2:38
*Which of these were practiced by the apostles in the early assembly? Matthew 28:19 was a command by Yahshua to immerse in the Name.
Since Father, Son and Holy Spirit are Titles, the apostles understood His saving name is YAHSHUA. That is why they gave immersion in the name of YAHSHUA Messiah.
Check all Bible references to baptism. Believers were baptized in the name of Yahshua (Acts 2:38; 4:10 - 12; 10:48; 19:5; 22:14 - 16; Rom. 6:3; Col. 2:11, 12). Baptism in the name of Yahshua includes the Father, because the Father's name is incorporated within the Son's name; Yah-shua = Yah(weh)'s salvation (Mt. 1:21).
Baptism in the name of the Father, Son and holy Spirit (Mt. 28:19), is evidently a fact rather than a formula. Baptism in the name of Yahshua (Yahweh's salvation), the Father is included. If baptized only in the name Yahweh, the Son is exclude. Proof:
Many Jews hated Yahshua, and refused to accept him as "Yahweh's salvation" (the Messiah); therefore they also hated those who believed in Yahshua the Messiah (Mt. 24: 16 - 23, especially verses 17 & 22, 24:9; Mark 13:9, 13; Luke 21:12, 17; John 15:18 - 21; 16:2, 3). These same Jews already had the Father and his name before Yahshua came on the scene, therefore all true believers were baptized in the name of Yahshua - Yahweh's salvation (Mt. 1:21).
But what about calling on the name of Yahweh for salvation? (Joel 2:32; Acts 2:17). This is explained:
Yahweh raised up a prophet like Moses. You s hall listen to him in whatever he tells you. Whoever will not hear that prophet will be destroyed from the people (Acts 3:22, 23). This prophet was Yahshua, the "author of life," whom Yahweh raised from the dead and glorified (Acts 3:13 - 15). When we call on the name Yahshua (Yahweh's salvation), we automatically call on the Father, Yahweh.
"He who confesses the Son has the Father also" (1 Jn. 2:23, 4:2, 15, 23).
"He who has the Son has life; he who has not the Son of Yahweh has not life" (1 Jn. 4:12).
So the plan of the Most High El is, Yahshua the only name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:10 - 12)
Halleluyah!
